The Breathing Circle

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Liberate your breath and invigorate your body while connecting with others as we take time to breathe deep and appreciate the moment.

The Breathing Circle is a , invitation-only event that takes place weekly at a secret location in Amsterdam. We come together as a community to boost our immunity with breathing techniques and to empower our minds through meditation. The gathering winds down with warm cups of tea and thoughtful conversation. We are completely inclusive, while still being exclusive.

What is Breath work?

Breath work, also known as pranayama in the yoga tradition, is the practice of controlling and manipulating the breath in order to bring about physical, mental, and emotional benefits. Some potential benefits of breath work and pranayama include:

Reduced stress and anxiety: Breath work practices can help to calm the nervous system and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.

Improved cardiovascular health: Deep, controlled breathing can help to lower blood pressure and improve overall cardiovascular health.

Increased energy and focus: Controlled breathing can help to increase oxygen levels in the body, leading to increased energy and focus.

Better sleep: Certain breath work practices, such as alternate nostril breathing, can help to relax the body and mind, leading to better sleep.

Improved respiratory function: Regular breath work practices can help to improve respiratory function, including increasing lung capacity and strengthening the respiratory muscles.

Increased mindfulness and self-awareness: Breath work practices often involve focusing on the breath and being present in the moment, which can help to increase mindfulness and self-awareness.

Improved digestion: Certain breath work practices can help to stimulate the digestive system, leading to improved digestion.

Overall, breath work and pranayama can be a powerful tool for promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
