Yoga and Movement Classes for Every Body

From traditional Ashtanga and Hatha yoga, to non-traditional energizing Strala vinyasa inspired classes, to gentle slow flows there is a yoga style for every activity level. We lead a session that builds strength, balance and flexibility evenly in the body while resting the focus calmly on the breath. We move with ease, whether the movement is challenging or simple, exploring each position as we sink deeper, opening the mind while relaxing the body, helping to release tension throughout. Designed to activate your body’s Relaxation Response—a chemical cascade responsible for overall health, healing and well-being—we create a healthy balance between flexibility, stability, and mobility.

Breathwork and Pranayama

Pranayama is the ancient practice of controlling your breath through time, duration and frequency. In Sanskrit, “prana” means life energy and “yama” means control, and this is a way for us to create a bit more control over our lives. We lead a variety of breath work and pranayama experiences to help decrease stress, regulate sleep, lower blood pressure, improve immunity and lung function, as well as improve cognitive function. From simple techniques such as box breathing and alternate nostril breathing, to more challenging styles such as ujjayi and circular breathing, there is something suitable for all levels.

Yoga Nidra and Meditation

Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, typically induced by a guided meditation. Meditation is a way for us to calm the mind, and release tension in the body. Both Nidra and Meditation are scientifically proven to Improve thought patterns and reduce stress along with enhancing cognitive performance and memory, improved self-esteem and confidence, helping to create better sleep as well as diminishing symptoms of anxiety and depression. Our space holders will guide you through a session that allows both the mind and body to fully relax so you feel safe and comfortable.  

Sound Journey

Sound Journeys are inner journeys guided by a variety of sounds, all with varying frequencies and vibrations, each resonating with different parts of the body. These tones lead you into a state of total relaxation, in which healing can take place. Everything in the Universe is made from energy vibrating at different frequencies. Stress and illness can cause a shift in the vibrational energy of the body. This can alter the ability to deal with mental or physical ailments. When the body is vibrating at its optimum frequency, you are in the peak of physical health, happiness, contentment and well being. With Sound Healing, we try to get the body back to its optimum vibration frequency.

Nature Excursions

Forest Bathing has been found to lower blood pressure, heart rate, and cortisol, which can help put you in a more calm and relaxed state. The key to unlocking the power of nature is by exploring through the senses. We will guide you through a relaxed nature experience, while we encourage you to listen to the birds singing and the breeze rustling in the leaves of the trees, to look at the different greens of the leaves and the sunlight filtering through the plants as you smell the fragrance of the forest and taste the freshness of the air. Ground yourself by removing your shoes, or by placing your hands on the trunk of a tree. Dip your fingers or toes in a stream. Lie on the ground. Drink in the flavor of the forest and release your sense of joy and calm.

Our food philosophy is healthy, home made and soothing for your soul. Expect an abundance of seasonal vegetables, herbs and fruits prepared with love so you feel satisfied in both belly and mind.
